In the past few weeks we have seen some insane responses to the introduction of the Popeye’s chicken sandwich. Social media battles between chicken proprietors, crazy long lines at the drive through but mostly signs saying “Sold Out” or “No more Chicken Sammiches”. I have experienced this myself at my local Popeye’s chain. I even stood in line for 10 minutes just to have the person at the counter tell me, “You should have come earlier baby”. Earlier!? I had arrived at 12:55 PM how much earlier did I need to get there? I ask the lady at the counter what time I should have came for my lunch sandwich, her reply? 9 am…so breakfast then. I returned a few times but they were always out of stock. I never got my chicken sandwich and now they are sold out, for the time being.

If you haven’t heard about it you are in the minority, and probably live under a rock. Even though I did not get to try it myself I heard 2nd hand from some pretty die hard CFA fans that it was indeed a competitor for supreme fast food chicken sandwich. Pictures alone will speak for themselves in the thickness of the patty and fluffiness of the bun plus mad pickles. Maybe one day I’ll get my chance.

Either way now BWW is in the mix with a pretty sexy sandwich. Thickness looks pretty legit and it looks saucy as hell! Take a look for yourself. I’ll be giving one a try pretty soon.
